The Face at Meridiani

found by Terry James.

In the image below the Crowned Face and its face to the right are overlaid on the KK Face. To compare these one can download an AVI movie of this here, and examine the features annotated below. Clearer images in the future will resolve how many of these observations are accurate.

A is a cleft on the Crowned Face Crown and there is a dark patch just above it. Another dark patch is over a similar cleft at 8.

B shows how the dark area curves around an eye like feature on the Crowned Face.

C is another dark area that curves around the feature to its right, which also matches the mesa above the left eye of the Cydonia Face.

D shows the iris of the Crowned Face eye and how it falls exactly on the rounded area in the KK Face eye. This also overlays exactly on the Cydonia Face eye.

E shows a small raised area on the Crowned Face which is also dark on the KK Face.

F shows a dark line on the KK Face which moves down through the jewelry like shape on the Crowned Face cheek.

G shows a lighter area on the KK Face which is in the same position as the tip of the nose on the Crowned Face.

H shows the end of the jewelry like shape on the Crowned Face, also a dark area on the KK Face and a raised area on the Cydonia Face.

I shows a lighter area on the KK Face which is a similar shape to the bottom of the nose on the Crowned Face.

J shows a dark shadow like area (from the end of the arrow line sloping to the left and downwards) from the Crowned Face nose, and a similar dark area on the KK Face which may also be a shadow.

K is the Crowned Face mouth and is a dark line in the same position on the KK Face.

L shows how the edge of the dark area lines up well with the jaw line of the Crowned Face.

M shows a dark area on the KK Face corresponding to a ravine on the Crowned Face.

N shows the right hand edge of the Crowned Face mouth and a small ridge there, corresponding to a dark area on the KK Face.

O shows a small raised ridge on the Crowned Face corresponding to a lighter area on the KK Face.

P shows a widening in the dark area on the KK Face where the ravine on the Crowned Face ends.

Q shows a darker area on the KK Face corresponding to the mouth on the right hand face on the Crowned Face.

R shows a ridge on the Crowned Face corresponding to a lighter area on the KK Face.

S shows how the edge of the Crowned Face along here matches the edge of the dark area on the KK Face.

T shows a ridge on the Crowned Face which may be seen on the KK Face.

U shows a ridge on the Crowned Face which also appears as a lighter area on the KK Face.

V shows a ledge on the Crowned Face which also appears lighter on the KK Face.

W shows a dark ravine like area on both faces.

X shows another darker area common to both faces. W and X may be shadows.

Y shows an eye like shape common to both faces.

Z shows an eye like shape, like the right eye on the right face of the KK and Crowned Faces.

1 shows the upper side of the ridge pointed out at T.

2 shows a similar shape on both faces.

3 shows a dark area on both faces under the ridge between 1 and T.

4 shows where the ridge on the Crowned Face seems to curve around, matching the edge of the dark area on the KK Face.

5 shows similar shapes on both faces.

6 shows a similar shape just to the right of the eye on both faces.

7 shows how the iris on each face matches almost exactly.

8 shows the dark area which matches up with the cleft on the Crowned Face like with A.

9 shows the left edge of this eye is very similar on both faces.

0 shows the eyebrow on the Crowned Face is thicker on its right hand end, like on the KK Face.

Conclusions

There turns out to be a lot of similarities between the Crowned Face, the Cydonia Face and the KK Face, lending support to the theory they are all eroded versions of the same face. These observations can be falsified by further images of these faces.
